About Custom Decorated Cookies
Custom decorated cookies are edible works of art. You can choose your own design, theme, colors, text, or even photos to create a one of a kind cookie just for you. They are a wonderful way to celebrate special occasions, or simply to treat yourself. The lead time to create these individually artisan crafted cookies is TWO WEEKS, and a minimum order of TWO DOZEN is required. Early pre-orders during peak popular holidays are encouraged (minimum 3-4 weeks). Large orders of 100 cookies or more will also require 3-4 weeks lead time. Addinnella custom decorated cookies are tender butter cookies frosted with my signature vanilla bean royal icing. All cookies come individually wrapped in cellophane bags to ensure freshness. Pricing
In general, cookies are priced based on the complexity of the cookie. There are two cookie pricing levels: Pricing Level 1 and Pricing Level 2. Pricing Level 1 Custom cookies start at $4.00 per cookie for standard size, up to 4 inch cookies; up to 3 colors (white is already included); minimal detail and no writing. Pricing Level 2 Price per cookie will be quoted based on the number of colors (colors exceeding 3), or size (greater than 4 inches), or detail (high detail, metallics, writing, fondant embellishments, and photos/logos), or extra packaging (gift boxes, bows, etc.).
It’s A Process!
Creating custom decorated cookies is a very involved process that starts with the customer request and order confirmation. Here are just a few steps required to create these artisan cookies: 1. Design: finalize designs; make sketches and templates 2. Bake the cookies: measuring, mixing, rolling, cutting, chilling 3. Make the royal icing: mixing, tinting individual colors, preparing different icing consistencies 4. Set up: gathering icing bags, appropriate piping tips, edible paints, edible markers, airbrush and stencil designs, cookie projector, etc. 5. Embellishments: color and make fondant; make royal icing transfers 6. Drying: each layer of icing can require hours of drying time before the next layer is appliedCustom Cookie Care
For maximum enjoyment of royal icing cookies, here are a few tips: • Keep cookies away from direct sunlight and heat. • Keep cookies away from high humidity. • DO NOT REFRIGERATE. • Store at room temperature in original cookie wrappers until ready to be served/consumed. • If not consumed within 7-10 days, wrap in cling wrap and FREEZE in airtight freezer bags for up to 2 months. • Remove cookies from the freezer, and allow them to come to room temperature (about 90 minutes) BEFORE unwrapping and consuming.
